KIMBERLY PATTERSON, CELLO

 

Kimberly Patterson, CelloA merit scholarship student at the Juilliard School, Kimberly is currently pursuing her Master’s of Music Degree with Richard Aaron.  Past teachers include Stephen Geber and William Stokking.  She has been fortunate to play in master classes with great artists such as Timothy Eddy, Desmond Hoebig, Clive Greensmith, Martin Lohr, and Carter Brey and has worked closely with Peter Salaff of the Cleveland Quartet. 

Kimberly graduated with academic honors from the Cleveland Institute of Music.  While in Cleveland, she was a proud member of CityMusic, a Cleveland based chamber orchestra conducted by James Gaffigan, which gives free concerts to all of Northeast Ohio.  She has had the privilege and pleasure to be a member of the UBS Verbier Festival Orchestra, playing principal cellist with such musicians as Martha Argerich, Charles Dutoit, Zubin Mehta, James Levine, Joshua Bell, Hilary Hahn, Bryn Terfel, and Evgeny Kissin among others.
Festival appearances include, principal cello for the Aspen Sinfonia Orchestra at the Aspen Music Festival, the Sarasota Music Festival, ENCORE School for Strings, and the Mannes Beethoven Institute.  After a personal invitation from Charles Dutoit, Kimberly will be appearing at the Miyazaki Fesival in Japan this May.
