BENJAMIN GROW
Benjamin Grow believes in a well-rounded approach to music. Primarily a trumpet player, he has also studied intensively in the field of music theory. As a freelance musician he has mostly been involved with chamber music and trumpet/organ duos, and he is also a proponent of new music. Recent performances include the Noguchi Museum and the Moondog Rising concert festival. Ben's music theory studies have led him to continuo and chamber music performances with period instruments. For two summers, he studied conducting, composition, and music theory at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris with former students of the pedagogue Nadia Boulanger. He received the Bachelor of Music degree from Rice University.
