Application Prerequisites
You must carry a U.S. passport that is valid through December 31, 2010.
You must be between the ages of 21 and 35 as of January 1, 2010.
The application form, a prose biography in .doc format, and a headshot in .jpg format should be e-mailed to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it no later than Saturday, December 12, 2009, at 11:59 p.m.
Application Requirements
The following two items must be sent to Cultures in Harmony via postal mail. They must be postmarked no later than Saturday, December 12, 2009, at 11:59 p.m.
1. Unedited compact disc recording of the applicant's playing containing two selections contrasting in style. For composers, the recording should contain two original compositions contrasting in instrumentation. Composers should also include the scores for the compositions on the recording. All recordings should be clearly marked with the applicant's name, instrument, the titles of all tracks, and the date of the recording.
2. Application fee of $75. Checks must be made payable to Cultures in Harmony.
In addition, applicants must complete an interview via Skype. (Skype is a free VoIP application for free calling and video conferences from anywhere in the world. Kindly visit their official website to download.) The interview will assess the applicant’s aptitude for the non-musical elements of a Cultures in Harmony project.
Please note that participants in previous projects only need to e-mail the application form and their biography to Cultures in Harmony. All other requirements are waived exclusively for participants in previous projects.
